I’m probably not gonna bail on tumblr completely, (even though I’m barely active on here as is LOL), but if you’re leaving, I can be found posting much more frequently on my twitter and instagram!!

A collection of panels from TKO’s House that I liked! This episode was soooo much fun to work on and I loved getting the opportunity to get kind of intense, and absolute favorite was getting to board the sequence where KO+TKO SYNCHRONIZE INTO “PERFECT KO”. The climactic moments where two characters that struggle to even coexist, finally learn to work together to become an unstoppable force, were always the most exciting to me as a kid, and still are even now. So it was very fulfilling to work with Stevie on a sequence that could make others feel that excitement (hopefully!!). KO/TKO’s synchronization was an homage to Pacific Rim and Ian had the idea of the two joining up as abstract silhouettes which came out really nice! Huge thanks to the Revisions team for spicing up that sequence so it came out as cool as I’d envisioned it!

The CN app release of “Let’s Not Be Skeletons” written/boarded by myself and @parkersimmonsyall is so unexpectedly timely with recent events. It’s a big fave of mine and the last ep we did for season 1, so please check it out along with the other 4 wonderful episodes!!
Some of my boards from the episode “Mystery Science Fair 201X”! This was the first ep where I got to board/write for Dendy and I had a really great time playing around with the dynamic between her and KO/TKO! I also boarded all the classroom sections of the episode, and it was a real treat getting to introduce Miss Quantum, and some of KO’s classmates (a handful of which are actually crew self inserts that I specify on my twitter 😈 ).

Some VERY rough concepts I did for the main trio in “Let’s Watch the Pilot”! It was fun to think about what sort of hollywood celebrity style would suit each character’s personality best. I wanted Rad evoke a more stereotypical hollywood vibe, like a Tom Cruise. I leaned really hard into Kristen Stewart for Enid. I figured a hollywood Enid would probably be the type to casually get into crystals (she’s still got witch in her roots!). With KO, I thought it would be cute if he had the “precocious child star that dresses way too hip for a kid his age” look, like a Jaden/Willow Smith. And while he’s not a hollywood child star, Harry Styles had a pretty big influence on KO’s design, (particularly the headband).
Huge props to @juliasrednicki and @brandonwuart for doing the beautiful final designs and @kalidraws for her on point colors!!
A selection of boards I did for Villains Night In!! This episode was really special to me because for one, it was a Fink episode, but also because I actually pitched the premise of it to Ian/Toby at a writing meeting. Since they’d already had “Villains Night Out” in the works, the idea was easily tweaked to be included as supplemental episode! We even worked together a bit with @scrotumnose + @haewon-lee to make sure the events of both episode hooked up together.
It was a real dream come true to get to board on this ep with my roomie/bff @cartoonfuntime ! Our tastes really mesh, and we had a great time, coming up with wacky babysitting antics. Our personal childhood experiences are sprinkled all over the place in this episode, and I think it really helped create something interesting and funny!
Shout out to our Revisions Team for seriously busting ass figuring out the BG layouts, and to @stevieborbolla for helping me out with the pose of Venomous holding Fink at the end. It was very important to me that it look beautiful!!

Sorry for twitter xpost
i’ve been hoarding this drawing for so long and now i can set the man free!

New OK KO ep: “Villains Night In” is airing tonight! A personal favorite, written/boarded by me and my beautiful roomie+bff, @cartoonfuntime !! We put all our love in this one, don’t miss it!!

NEW EP OF OK KO TONIGHT! Get a glimpse into Carol’s past in “Glory Days” by me and @parkersimmonsyall It’s a fun one, don’t miss it!!
(I’d like to have done a nicer promo for this ep, but alas I am in a major crunch! Pls enjoy all the same!!)
I was extremely indulgent in boarding my sections of Hero’s Fate and I straight up wrote a heatwave into the episode so I’d get an opportunity to draw Enid/Rad in their swim gear, as well as Special Limited Edition Cowboy Darrell! The additions worked out pretty perfectly though (imo), because Parker and I wanted to give KO a really compelling reason to feel torn about leaving his friends to go do more hero work, and honestly after putting Darrell in a sailor suit in ‘We’re Captured’ I wanted to go full speed ahead in Darrell’s love for playing dress up!
But what really took the cake in this episode was the honorable opportunity to help Ian end his old webcomic: RPG World! (I don’t think Ian expected us to go this far, but Parker and I insisted LOL) Ian straight up traditionally inked/cleaned up these rough comic panels I did for the final sequence, and I really hope he uploads them!

It’s Friday which means NEW OK KO EPISODES!! Catch an exciting ep featuring a familiar friend, boarded by me + @parkerrsimmons 2nite 6:30 !

It’s a fake haha. The official OK KO blog is https://ok-ko.tumblr.com/
A selection of some of my board panels I liked best from “TKO”. This was such a fun, and exciting episode to get to work on and it was such an honor to collaborate on a 2 parter not only with my board partner @parkersimmonsyall, but also with my beloved friends @cartoonfuntime and @miraongchua ! We had a great time writing a story with a more dramatic and campy arc compared to other episodes, while still keeping with the comedy of the show. TKO is such a treat to write for, and all the angsty character tropes I went ham with, were all done with the utmost sincerity! I genuinely love Shadow the Hedgehog types haha. And honestly just love any opportunity I get where I can draw a character throwing a tantrum.
